My local music scene has been undergoing an amazing upsurge. Venues are popping up and local media is taking new interest in local talent. The opportunity to diversify away from my usual solo acoustic package is tempting. I’ll be seriously exploring this option in the coming weeks. It is clear that there are many more gig opportunities locally if I open for a band. It’d be even more cool if elements of the band can back my opening act. This may be the new model for me at least in Florida. My scheduled North East tour is still locked in as solo acoustic.
