Report From the Edge of the Hurricane
Here in Venice, we are fine. What you're seeing on TV is not happening here. We have winds in the forties now and it'll last about another hour. No damage. No power loss so far. I have to say the the Natiional Weather Service has been right on the money with their forcast. We got exactly what they said . They said that it was possible for us to lose power and maybe we will. So besides doing all the usual storm preps we go through around here, I made four liters of coffee and put it in the fridge. Blow my roof off but DO NOT deprive me of coffee. Thanks for your concern. I am so glad that things aren't as bad where you are as the news is showing on tv! I hope you don't lose power, however! I've been thinking of you guys!
Hell! We had worse weather and wind than that all weekend here and actually did lose power! (No hurricane involved)lol.
Glad all is well over there for you. Haven't caught the NOAA updates for your state yet, so how bad is it elsewhere? What did the wicked wilma make landfall as?

Now that's why I'm getting more edgamacated Bud, so I can remember to put coffee in the fridge in case of a hurricane, lol
