THE iPHONE IS IN MY POCKET
I did not wait in any lines for my iPhone. The store was out and they mailed me one in three days. I had no activation problems at all. I did have to upgrade my OS but it was due anyway. Forget the hype and the crazies who bought two thinking they could sell one for a profit. The real story is that this phone is fantastic. It is everything I need and probably more. But new technology has a way of creating new needs, doesn't it?I dumped my entire calendar and address book into it from my Mac at the push of a button. I synched photos from my Mac to the phone numbers. I put a selection of my favorite tunes in. I put all my Safari bookmarks in. It's like having my Mac, my iPod, my camera cell phone and my Palm Pilot in my pocket. If this thing could make coffee, it would cover nearly all my addictions.
Yeah, I know it's pricey. Yeah, I know lots of people are happy with their Treos and Blackberries. Fine. I'm not a salesman or an Apple Missionary. I'm just reporting that this thing exceeds my expectations and has made my life simpler and more efficient. And now that I'm through playing with it for the time being, I'm gonna start reading blogs. Tomorrow. I have a gig tonight. Hope your weekend is smashing.

I work with a drummer who bought his first iPod and proclaimed, "I'm going to load all my CDs in and then sell them all!!"
Waiting for the day he steps on the iPod - he IS a drummer, for cryin' out loud!! LOL!!
