HAVING AN EXCELLENT WEEK...
I've been selected as a finalist in the American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Contest. They will announce the winners in the next issue, due out later this month. They like my song, You Can't Leave My Mind. Win or not, I'm delighted to be named. I'll report on the status of that when I know.I've also been offered a deal from an advertising group in California to synch my song Crowded Memory to an alcohol/drug rehab public service ad. Can't hurt to be seen and heard in Cali, can it?
I've been selected for a compilation disc and web radio airplay by CelebrateRadio.com. That's world wide distribution. I'll report the details when I know more.
I already reported on my selection for review on TargetAudiencMagazine.com in January.
I was also asked for a prerelease copy of the CD by Creative Loafing, an entertainment weekly published in Tampa, Atlanta,
Charlotte, Chicago, Washington DC and here in Sarasota. It will be reviewed at least in the Sarasota version in January.
Not a bad week at all. Pre-release sales are coming in and you can jump on that bandwagon before I get too busy to offer signed copies. I'm posting a Paypal ink here that reflects the deals offered on the last post. Or if you prefer, go to my Music page where you can hear the CD and buy it with PayPal. Or as some have elected to do, send me an e-mail at Bud.Buckley@Gmail.com and give me an address . I'll in turn give you one to mail a check to. Bud: You are the first fellow-blogger I've visited since the Internet installation man left my apartment! WHAT GREAT NEWS!! The California opportunity is a "break". Good for you, Bud. This is just exciting and drives the enthusiasm of all of we musicians who are working on getting up to speed! :D

Creative Loafing is my favorite local paper. You can't walk into a grocery store, bar or restaurant here without seeing at least one copy. Usually more. When you come back up this way again we should try to set up an interview with one of their writers. That would be awesome.
Of course it couldn't hurt for you to get to know a little more about your Tampa Music team either.
