I FIND NOTHING ENDEARING ABOUT GATORS

I have the distinct impression everyone is tired of this story. So I'll save it for later.

Our sandhill cranes are, on last report, doing well, although I haven't seen them in about two weeks. Not since the gators chased them away. Life in Florida. It's always a trade off. Fabulous weather and nightly thunder showers. Astounding tropical birds and gators who eat them. And it goes on and on, believe me. The good is good enough that the bad doesn't matter that much to me. We call it the sunshine discount. It's just life in Florida.

One of the guys shooting my video wants me to do it without glasses. I can see okay without them. They're just kind of comforting to me. He thinks I look better without them. I wonder if anybody I have met in the last fifteen years or so would recognize me without them. That would include all of my fans. Your comments on this are appreciated. I'm undecided.

And finally, the moment you've been waiting for. I'm number one for the sixth week at Loneboystore.com! I want to go to England as long as I'm kicking ass on a music chart there.

Here are the usual items to go with this story: First the link to go request me again, please. Tattoo is the song that's currently numero uno.

Here's the latest post they put up:

22.06.08 - Females dominate this weeks chart with no less than six on this weeks chart, three re-entries from Bernadette Lawrence, Erene and store favourite Natascha Sohl. Still holding on to his number one position is Bud Buckley for another week but will he be able to hold off the ladies, holding firm at the number four position is the fantastic Robert Lamm with his new cd 'The Bossa Project'. Check back next week to see if our number one will be bumped from the top or if he can hold fast for another week....

Finally, I wish you'd get on my Reverbnation fan list if you haven't done that already. If you do, please put in you home town so I can eventually direct stuff to you or away from you when o don't need it. Here's that link:

so you're saying you're a seminoles fan?

Why doesn't he want you to wear your glasses? ... will it make a glare in the video?
Hmmm... if you wear 'em all day every day & everyone is used to seeing you in them, they've grown to be a part of YOU. I say wear 'em, unless there's a damn good reason not to. -- but that's just my opinion.

Joined your lil fan club, but thought I was already a member. lol

Going to vote for "Tattoo" now. =)

You know...there is the age where you don't think about such things; then an age where maybe you'd like to look a bit younger...

I think we've reached an age where we don't give a sh*t what OTHER people think about how we look. Well, maybe that's just me. I'd just go with my 'usual' look.

I think it depends on whether or not you feel like you look like YOU without your glasses. For instance, I'd have felt weird watching a Roy Orbison video if he didn't have on his Raybans.

Clapping again for the 6th week!! :)

I'd have to see you w/out your glasses to give an opinion, but I think you look just groovy fine with them on! Maybe he's thinking the glasses will glare in the lights?

I think your videographer is acting completely unprofessional in regards to your glasses. It is your face and since you are comfortable in them you should wear what you are comfortable in. I am constantly amazed at photographers who insist on the subject removing the glasses. One of the points that we stress in our workshops is that you work with your clients as they would be normally.

You're doing a video? Rock!

I think you're glasses are pretty hip.

I like your glasses. But then again I haven't seen you without them. Congrats on the video and the music charts. Really exciting.

Your an artist, you should be open to trying new things by default. I'd say go without and test the waters.

Cheers

I have to agree with Ben, but maybe it's just my advertising perspective. I would imagine your videographer is asking you to take your glasses off because it's easier to see your expressions and eyes -- which as most say, are the windows to the soul. the other issue (and this was one when I worked in marketing for an eyeglass retailers) is that the lights bounce off the lenses, so it looks like two headlights staring back at the audience on film, rather than a set of eyes :)
